All I needed to fall in love with Ukraine was speak to a waiter in a restaurant, on my very first day in Kyiv. I immediately felt something special inside people, as if I was reunited with a kind of humanity I experienced during my childhood but that then somehow vanished with the passing of time, leaving a giant hole inside me. I keep visiting this magical Country even now, during the war, liking it more and more with each trip.
